Antiquing: Chicago Botanic Garden Antique Show

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of attending the annual Chicago Botanic Garden Antique Show. The Botanic Garden grounds are simply gorgeous, even before the turn of spring.  There is something calming and romantic about the skeletons of a garden. unnamed-159

This was my first time attending the antique show; it certainly will not be my last!  The dealers were top notch, displaying gorgeous antique furniture and accessories from all parts of the world.   Probably influenced by my surroundings, I found myself  especially drawn to the more garden themed items.  There were stunning tole flowers, pressed floral art, faux bois planters and benches, remnants of garden gates, and much more.  There was a definite "spring has sprung" attitude!

What a nice treat on an otherwise gloomy (and snowy!) few days.  I hope you all get a chance to attend!
