How to design a room around a hand painted table

I recently saw this table at Susan Kroeger in Winnetka, IL.  It immediately got my creative juices flowing.  Here is a room I would design around this gorgeous hand painted table.

I would start with this warm gray from  Farrow and Ball.  This would provide a complimentary base to the room from which to build.

Then add a pop of color to the walls using this print from Etsy.

Next, I would place this modern grass cloth coffee table from Vintage and Modern to juxtapose the traditional hand painted table.

Finally, a touch of gold from Visual Comfort to complete the room with an air of luxury.

By taking a traditional piece and mixing it with the modern you create a visually warm and complex landscape.
